Craftmanship
Attention to detail
Since 1926, each G. Moscatelli creation has been meticulously designed by hand, from the smallest component to complete chandeliers. Our century-long experience has produced a unique collection of exclusive molds and designs, now enhanced by modern computer-aided design and 3d modeling capabilities.
Every piece reflects our commitment to craftsmanship, with details executed entirely by hand in italy using time-honored techniques. Our artisans combine precious craft skills with meticulous design and constant stylistic research to create true works of art. With over 1.400 exclusive models and flexible production capabilities, we can customize our pieces to meet specific requirements in size, shape, and finish.

Crafting techniques
Brass, our primary material, is melted using three distinct methods, each chosen to achieve specific artistic and functional goals:
Lost wax casting – an ancient technique traditionally used for sculptures, where molten brass is poured into clay molds created from precise wax prototypes. This method allows for exceptional detail and artistic expression in our most elaborate pieces.
French sand casting – dating back to ancient china, this traditional method uses bronze prototypes pressed into special sand molds. The resulting brass pieces, rich in copper content, are very ductile and perfect for chiseling, allowing our artisans to bring each ornamental element to life.
Die casting and hot pressing – modern precision techniques that produce consistently excellent results for specific components, utilizing specialized alloys and high-pressure casting methods.
Wrought-iron
Wrought iron craftsmanship – our artisans practice traditional iron forging, combining hammer-winding and hand embossing techniques. Each piece is carefully crafted through skilled shaping of heated metal, requiring extensive expertise and artistic sensitivity.

Finishing
The proper finishing is equally important in achieving the perfect result. We offer various options:
- 24kt gold plating, available in both brilliant and satin finishes
- Chrome or nickel plating
- Bronze and burnishing finishing
- Traditional patina treatments that enhance sculptural details
- Special finishes like our signature “cipria” patina
Each finish is carefully applied and protected to ensure lasting beauty and durability, reflecting our commitment to excellence in every detail.
Crystals
Our lighting collections are adorned with a carefully selected range of crystal and glass elements. The top of our selection is genuine rock crystal, sourced exclusively from germany. These natural quartz crystals, available in clear or precious variations like amethyst and smoke-grey, are hand-cut with diamond tools and meticulously polished to achieve exceptional brilliance.
We also work with prestigious bohemian and italian crystals in both full-cut and half-cut types, as well as exquisite murano blown glass for specialized elements like pendants and decorative flowers. While these materials are technically refined glass of varying purity and oxide content, their exceptional quality and craftsmanship have earned them the respected distinction of “crystal” in the lighting tradition.
